Anyway, it just occurs to me that, oddly enough, neither the Premier of Quebec nor the Lieutenant-Governor have an official residence (the Lt. Gov. used to but it burned down in the 60s, killing the then Lt. Gov), but the Governor General has a second official residence in Quebec City (the [Citadelle of Quebec](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citadelle_of_Quebec) , or more precisely a suite of apartments therein). ---

When I was a child, I wrote to the French president. I think the address I wrote to was “President of the republic-Paris”. I didn’t even put a stamp. And I got a response. ---
