# What is the best brand of toilet paper?

So, what is your favorite brand of toilet paper? (If your brand has more than one variety, please specify which one.)
I’m looking for something that is strong (won’t fall apart) and soft (not like sandpaper).

My GF buys the **Seventh Generation** shit that’s only slightly better than **Scott** , so I try to beat her to the store when we’re running low and spend the extra couple of bucks for **Charmin** (there’s the blue one and the red one; I can’t tell any difference between them) or **Cottonelle**.

Cottonelle is the favorite around my house. Soft, super-strong and you can get away with using so much less of it.

Scott is hands-down the best TP out there. I used to be a Charmin man (double roll) but the pipes in my house won’t take it.

Charmin is my first choice, but will go for Cottonelle if its on sale at replacement time. Scott’s is no better than sandpaper, and I like myself too much to use that.

Soft and Gentle - a generic Charmin type. Soft enough, but not so much lint on my area and clogging of pipes.
And way cheaper, for something that is literally going to have shit on it 😉

We use Cottonelle at my house, and only Cottonelle. I _may_ have been swayed by the extremely cute “spokes-puppy” but I do prefer their “ridges” to anything quilted or flat.

This, exactly. The cushier brands don’t have the structural integrity to wipe adequately. And Scott lasts for freakin EVER! We’d go through a roll a day of Charmin around here.

I definitely don’t want any pilly residue.
The reason why I’m asking is because I need to buy toilet paper, and I don’t want to have to try every possible brand!

Random generic store brand (varies depending on the store we happen to be in when we need to buy some). Gets the job done, soft enough, cheap and available in a double roll.
