To my great annoyance, I missed a real good one - Motorcycle Emptiness by The Manic Street Preachers Also, a couple of times I saw titles in this thread and thought, _Oh! Yes_ - only to realize same title, different song. So that pair of goodies that I missed were: My Maria - John Cale My Old Man - Ian Dury And The Blockheads I suspect Ian Dury is relatively little know in the US, so let me take this opportunity… My Old Man is the quiet song on New Boots And Panties - very simple, a short reflection on his father’s life and the difficult relationship between father and son.
