Are you Catholic? I doubt it. Otherwise you wouldn’t have bothered to edit to add that.
Don’t even start on this derail. We’re already far enough off topic as it is.
You are the one who cited the Seven Virtues. You are the one who said those virtues were incompatible with evil.
You derailed your own argument. Either admit you are wrong, or defend your argument.
How about this? I disagree with your premise that I worship the same god as Muslim terrorists. Therefore, I have nothing to defend. Good day.
It is not my premise:
“The Church regards with esteem also the Moslems. They adore the one God, living and subsisting in Himself; merciful and all- powerful, the Creator of heaven and earth,(5) who has spoken to men; they take pains to submit wholeheartedly to even His inscrutable decrees, just as Abraham, with whom the faith of Islam takes pleasure in linking itself, submitted to God.”
This was affirmed by Benedict XVI in 2005.
So the Pope is not infallible, is that what you are saying?
Yes, I agree the Pope aka Bishop of Rome is not infallible. That is in no way inconsistent with holding to a strict definition of what virtues are. Open a new thread if you want to pursue this further.
