# What is the color of this woman's shoe?

What is the most accurate description of the color of this shoe?
I know it’s some kind of purple, but what shade of purple should it be called? Any suggestions appreciated!

I guess I’d call it grape (if you wanted a specific shade of purple)from the first picture, but the second picture seems to show it with a pinkish sheen - is that due to the lighting or the shoe itself?

How about Grape, Amethyst, or Heliotrope?

I’d say it’s lilac though if I were naming it for a catalog I’d call it something like “Purple Haze” or “Electric Hyacinth”

I’m looking at this [shades of purple chart](http://www.december.com/html/spec/color4.html), and is just does not seem to be any of these purples.
