Techie, this is precisely what I mean. Hastur has an opinion, and expresses it. Sure, his choice of words is, well, colourful to say the least. But this is the Pit - he didn’t cross the line, IMHO. Just accept the fact that people, at this stage, will dislike you no matter what - because of all that happened in the past and up untill now. That’s NOT gonna change. If you really ARE leaving now, I would advise you to stick to it this time. Every time you leave and come back again, you’re losing credibility. And you’re gaining some enemies that will most likely flame you HARD on your next Pit Endeavour. That’s how it always goes, Liz. Mind you, I don’t **want** you to leave, per se. I want you to shape up, get your life together, and become a more satisfied human being - and hence, poster. I’m pretty sure that’s what you want as well. The problem is: **the SDMB isn’t going to do that for you**. You need to look at yourself, and perhaps with some outside (professional) help, you’ll be fine. You’re not a bad person. You’re merely a disappointed person right now. And for Gods sake, if I may be so bold: don’t drink so much. You’re destroying yourself. ---

Hey, at least I’m not the one who drove her away this time. Had people asking me if I was going to. “Not intentionally.” Had people telling me the how fab it would be if I DID. “I’m not trying to.” Had people speculating to me on how long it would be before she “left the boards forever, again.” Shrug. Bet people will STILL think I “drove her from the board.” Bet it’s not my whole life, bet I’ll know the truth, so…bet I won’t give a rat’s ass.
