I was thinking of this thread when I posted that. I hesitate to quote snippets of it out of context, and there was definitely a fair bit of discussion and back-and-forth about whether it constituted a riot or not.
A link to a thread is not a cite and, from my quick perusal of the thread, your description isn’t even close to an accurate portrayal of its content.
Either back up your claim with citations or admit that your claim “If one guy gets punched at a Trump rally, does that turn the Trump rally into a riot? That was the definition this board seemed to be operating under the campaign.” is false.
Going back to the question posed by the OP. I’m normally a mild-mannered, non-violent person. But if my family was being kept away from me for nonsensical reasons, I might be tempted to riot.
