Sounds like a golden manhole cover!

That’s very odd, since the SGD and Brunei dollar are equal in value. If this were true, I could make money simply by changing currencies in a cycle.

Yes, I know this is an old thread.

Bart Simpson got himself a one million dollar bill. Does that count?

As of just over a year ago there were still [almost a million](http://news.nationalpost.com/2012/11/15/the-hunt-for-canadas-1000-bills-there-are-nearly-a-million-left-most-in-the-hands-of-criminal-elites/) of those Canadian $1,000 notes in circulation.

From reading that, if I did have any I would be rather wary of paying them into the bank, for fear of immediately being hauled off by a Mountie. 🙂

> The largest we have here is a 1000-baht note. At the current exchange rate, that’s about US$29. Since paying by check is almost unheard-of here – certainly no stores will take personal checks – and people carry around big piles of cash to pay for something expensive, it’s amazing that there’s not more of a theft problem than there already is.

Largest here is 100 yuan = about $14 I think.

I have to pay my rent at 3-monthly intervals, in cash. The stack of notes looks like a man vs food challenge.

I have a couple of million-zaire bills from the early 1990s with a picture of Mobutu Sese Seko on them. Of course they were worth only about $1 US at the time. (In Zaire at that time, you had to be a millionaire to buy a beer.)
