A salad of red leaf lettuce, cut-up cooked chicken, grape tomatoes, red onion, and oil & balsamic vinegar. Plus 5 oz. of red wine. Even though I just ate that about an hour ago, this thread is making me so, so hungry. Especially that French baguette stuffed with dark chocolate. Dang this diet! ---

LONG VER: IF tldr=1, THEN GOTO SHORTVER: For lunch, I went to [Fatburger](http://www.fatburgercanada.com/menu/signature-burgers-sandwiches) and had a Mushroom Swiss burger with fries, gravy, and a pint of beer. That will hold me over until breakfast. Twenty years ago, I went to Nevada and first learned of the existence of the Fatburger chain, and for nearly that long I considered it a tangible symbol of the very worst things about the United States. Then they built one right near my office. God _damn_ if that ain’t a good burger, and they must put their employees through the best corporate brainwashing program in existence - they seem genuinely happy to see and serve you. (I’m sure it doesn’t hurt that they earn decent tips on top of their wage.) SHORTVER: Too long? Big-ass burger, fries and beer. END ---
