For soccer I’d like harsher punishment for faking injuries and diving. It’d probably involve giving fines or suspensions after the fact, but I think it’d be a pretty easy to implement and effective fix. ---

Even kids tell you that their coaches ask them to fake fouls or injuries. ---

In baseball, it has got to be the late inning pitching changes. Even worse in a postseason game which is already running long. Ice hockey, the stupid 4 on 4 in overtime and the even worse shoot out. American football, “Icing” the kicker. ---

The biggest problem about regular season NHL OT is that the two teams will share 3 points, while a regulation win will only net them (the winner) 2 points. Make a regulation win worth 3 points and this issue would be addressed. I don’t mind 4-on-4, and postseason games should switch to it starting with the 2nd OT period. What they _really_ should do is go back to the sizes that the goalie pads had 30+ years ago, because frankly the save percentages have become far too unreal anymore, and that is severely distorting how the game is played. Too many goals are scored in “fluky” ways now (i.e. off of deflections, like hockey is a pinball game). Patrick Roy had a .892 save percentage in 1986. Patrick Fucking Roy. And he ranked 5th in the league. ---

Baseball: Definitely a way to share revenue like they do in football to try to equalize roster expenditures. In football all TV revenue and memorabilia (I think) revenue is shared equally. In baseball it is not, nor do visiting teams get a portion of the gate as they used to prior to 1997. ---

Baseball, and yes, the pace needs to be picked up. **1. Batters should be forced to stop dicking around.** Get back the the box. Don’t let them call time out for no good reason. What, your batting gloves don’t fit? Make sure you have ones that fit the next time you hit or you’re ejected. 1. For God’s sake, cut down on the pitching changes. 2. I believe playoff games have 2 minutes between innings, as opposed to 90 seconds in the regular season. 90 seconds is fine, thanks. I don’t expect them to lop an hour off every game. Just keep the pace up. ---
