What is the longest flight you've taken?

12 hours, for both Atlanta to Tel Aviv and Amman to NYC. They were almost the same length, but the first one felt much, much longer, since I had left my glasses on the previous Minneapolis to Atlanta flight and had to have my contacts in the whole time.

This sounds to me like you’ve done this multiple times. I did 50 hours once in a single trip and I still don’t know how I managed it. And that’s only across 2/3 of the country, so plenty of room for improvement.

Toronto to Budapest. It was 8 years ago, so I don’t remember the exact length. I’ll say somewhere in the vicinity of 8.5. The stewardess refuse to let me use my discman at any point in the flight (for whatever reason), and so it felt closer to 40, lol.

Funny you should ask. My flight from Sydney to SFO got in at 10:30 this morning. 12h 51 m

The way out was longer, 14 h 30 m.

We had the strange experience of being in San Francisco on the same day and time as we had been in Sydney.

Yeah, I can do a 5 hour flight standing on my head. For me the worst part on a long flight is when I have about 3 hours left. I’m tired of reading, I don’t want to listen to my ipod, I’ve watched all the movies; that’s when I can’t stop staring at that map that shows the plane’s position and that makes the whole experience seem even slower.

I’m flying Dubai to DC this Saturday and I am dreading it. I might just bite the bullet and upgrade to business class.

Longest flight was Toronto to Lahore.
