# What is the minimum you'ld have to be paid to work a super boring job?

When I was 17 and reporting for basic training in the Army, I arrived three days too early. So I had to sit in this open foyer with hundreds of other early arrivals and read our skills manual (about 300 small pages). We couldn’t get up except to go quickly to the latrine and back, or to eat lunch or dinner. That’s it. No talking. No exercising.

It was a complete mind fuck. After a few days of that, something just ‘snaps’ in your brain. I need at least $230,000 to do that again. Now if the hypothetical allowed me to use the internet, hell, I’d do it for $40,000.
