as an experiment in a museum, we ate what was supposed to be on of the first pizza recipes that was written down and it was pretty much an Italian tostada ā€¦ ---

Khoubez makes a pretty good pizza base in fact after a trip to the mediterranean supermarket Iā€™ve made pizza out of khoubez as the base, fasolada as the sauce/ topping and kenafa for the cheese. The origins of pizza are pretty much ā€˜put whatever tasty stuff on whatever bread you haveā€™ ---

I like steak a lot rare not blue but vert red. I also like ā€¦ are you all ready? _Ketchup_ on my steak. I picked it up from my Daddy. No I donā€™t throw it at the wall. I do not like ketchup on my french fries just salt and occasionally vinegar. ---

Nothing wrong with that. When I was a kid, my Dad would barbecue (thereā€™s that word again) steaks, and we had a choice: either eat them, or use them as hockey pucks in ice hockey games. Since they were the only dinner we were getting, we ate them. With plenty of ketchup. ---

If itā€™s _your_ steak, itā€™s your choice and if you are pursuing a thing you like, thatā€™s (IMO) a better thing than when people eat ā€˜just knock the horns offā€™ rare steak because of some sort of macho posturing thing. ---

What I really hoped from this thread was that people would take a step back from simple _participation_ in the divisiveness and look at the whole picture more objectively. ---

Then thereā€™s washing dishes. I prefer to just wash dishes by hand. We have a nice Bosch (_not_ Titus Welliver) dishwasher and my gf insists it get occasional use to keep it from drying out. ---
