You know, the film made $600 million, and nobody saw _Titanic_ more than once? Boggles the mind! 😉 Anyway, for films in theaters, the above film is the record-holder for me. Saw it about 6 times back in 1997-98. I also have seen Disney’s _Beauty and the Beast_ about 4 times in the theaters, once at an IMAX showing. Same thing with _Pulp Fiction_ (but not the IMAX - damn, that would be cool!) I won’t go into films on TV/Video/DVD. Those are too many to count. If I had to name one… _Jaws_ on TNT? _Godfather_ on every channel (including VH-1)? One of those types of films. Oh, yeah! _A Christmas Story_. That movie played for 10 continuous hours at my home this past Christmas. Watched it maybe once, used it as background noise for the festivities. ---

I’ve lost count on how many times for these: \*\*Lion in Winter \*\* use to actually know every line in film. \*\*His Girl Friday \*\* One of \*the best \* Male-female bantering in all of movies. **Duck Soup** \*\*Animal Crackers \*\* Their genuis is nothing short of jaw dropping amazing. \*\*Silverado \*\* Just to see Scott Glenn smile. :::sigh::: \*\*Best in show \*\* and \*\*Office Space \*\* are my new cult favorites. **Indiana Jones 1 and 3** two sucked ass. ---

I’ve seen “fight club” 12-15 times. The Matrix maybe 5. I can’t remember anything else I’ve seen more than twice, or maybe 3 times. ---

Well lets see Raiders of the Lost Ark, I don’t keep track of how many times but I’ve owned three different videos of it. Die hard, this has to be the best action movie out there. I try to watch it every Christmas, then sometimes at other times as well. Planes Trains and Automobiles, best comedy there is, that and I lived through a lot of it when I went away with my best friend for senior week. Other movies that I have seen a number of times include, Pricess Bride, American Pyscho, Count of Montie Cristo. I also saw The Fisher King in the theaters three times in three days. ---

Not counting Christmas movies (Scrooged, The Christmas Story etc) the movie I’ve seen the most is \*\* Empire Records\*\* I’ve probably seen it between 15 and 20 times, and I’m thrilled that I was given the dvd a while back. Next would be **If Lucy Fell** which I’ve seen about 10 times, followed by \*\* The X-Files: Fight The Future\*\* which I’ve seen around eight times. However, the last one there, I only saw it for the first time in July of 2001, so… I actually may have seen **The Haunting(of Hill House)** and \*\* MP’s Search For The Holy Grail\*\* more than 10x each, but I’ve never really kept track. Now, my brother has most of you all beat. When he was four he watched **Flight of the Naviagator** twice a day. For an entire year. I can still recall being amazed that he’d sit through the movie, then rewind it and watch it again, then complain that our parents declared twice a day to be the limit. The funny thing is that he can’t remember more than the basic plot of the movie now! I think he remembers **Short Ciricut** (his obsession the following year) better although he only watched it half as often. ---

When Animal House came out, I went and paid to see it 5 times! But I just remember the most times I saw a movie was in 1989-90-60 times for Rocky Horro Picture Show! ---

I’ve seen **Star Wars** over 200 times. Not in the theater, but I had a bootleg copy of it on videotape when I was young, and I’d watch it over and over. I can’t think of what I saw most in the theater might be. Possibly **The Empire Strikes Back**. ---

When it came out, I watched **Groundhog Day** on a Friday night and went back to see it on the Saturday. There was something rather fitting about the deja vu I got seeing that film the next day. [sub]I’d lost interest by the Sunday.[/sub] ---

I’ve seen **Star Wars** well over 500 times. My parents owned a small one-screen movie theater when I was little, and when SW came out (I was 7) I watched it every day after school (before they opened) and two or three times on the weekends for its duration. My older brother recorded it once in the empty theater and I watched the tape of it more or less every day for several years. I know every line, every musical cue, every special effect beep and blip, every alien creature’s lines, etc. When they started showing it on TV, I noticed immediately that certain sounds were missing / different. (Ex: When Aunt Beru is loading veggies into that blender thing, she says “I think so” in a totally different way than on my tape, and the noise of the veggies being processed was missing. Ditto with the “Open the blast doors” line). Strangely enough, after prooving once to my friends that I can recite the entire movie, they generally don’t bring it up anymore. I’ll bet **Legomancer** and I could clear out a party in record time. 🙂 ---

Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band_ twice…just to see Barry Gibb. That made me personally responsible for 10% of its entire gross revenue. At least _Titanic_ had a discernible plot. ---

When I was 12 and we first got cable HBO played _My Bodyguard_ all the time. I think I saw it 45 times before I got sick of it. ---

Back when I was a kid I was OBSESSED with Christmas Vacation and Little Shop of Horrors, and I’ve seen both of them at least 150 times. Come to think of it, with all the times it’s aired, I’ve probably seen A Christmas Story 100 times too. ---

I saw **Memento** in theaters 4 times, a personal record. The Star Wars Trilogy (the classic movies) comes in my top three spots. Star Wars clocks in at 60+ viewings, Empire at 40+ and Jedi at 50+. This includes both the special edition and the originals. Other movies that I have at least 10 viewings of are Alien(s), Terminator, T2, Back to the Future 1-3. The old Bakshi LOTR. I am rather ashamed to admit that I haven´t seen PJ´s LOTR more than 5 times yet, and I own the DVD. ---

I almost never watch a movie more than once. However… The Highlander ~ 10x The Matrix ~ 20x Tombstone - every day, whether I need it or not. My roommate wore out 2 VHS copies of it before he bought the DVD.
