$3400 for 7, two years ago at Wild Ginger. Expense account; wine.

$75 for a friend and I at The Cheesecake Factory in San Antonio, TX. :eek: was my face when I saw the bill, but she paid for the entire trip so I got off easy.

About $500 for four, IIRC.
For just two, my wife and I have gotten over $200 a few times.

1000 British pounds for dinner for 8 in Glasgow, Scotland a couple years ago. A family member actually paid, not me, but I was pretty shocked.

And of course I didn’t read the whole OP; sorry about the expense account one. The most I’ve ever spent on myself on a meal was $92 plus tip, at Seattle’s best Sushi restaurant, Shiro’s. Lots of warm Japanese vodka, and Shiro just fed me what he thought was good; I gave him carte blanche. One of the 3 or 4 greatest meals of my (and probably your) entire life.

I spent close to $100 on myself and by myself - it was a divorce (yay) celebration.
The meal and drink was about $70 the balance was tip. I brought a great book and I enjoyed every moment. Great service for the only single and the only Black chick there.

Emeril’s for dinner. I think we dropped about $120. I had my first Brandy Alexander. The food was wonderful and the service excellent. In fact, I dropped a napkin and literally, before I could bend over to pick it up, the waiter brought me a new one.
It was a fantastic evening.

Hell, I once spent about that much dining solo at Tojo’s.
Definitely worth it, though.

I think the largest per capita bill I’ve been part of was over $800 for dinner for five at the Signature Room on top of the Hancock Tower. Ironically, sandwiches at the bar are pretty reasonably priced and I’ve told people before that the $18 you’d spend on a sandwich and drink at the Signature Room lounge was a better deal than the $18 admission fee to the Sear Tower observation deck.
Needless to say, we ate at the resturant in the evening, not the lounge for lunch.
Entirely out of my own pocket, I think it was around $150 at some French-Vietnamese place in the suburbs (Mykha’s for those keeping score). But I proposed to my wife there and Mykha gave us a voucher for a free anniversery dinner. Score! 😃

$3217 US. A wedding rehearsal dinner with 28 people in 1996.
The little brats filed for divorce 7 months later. I’m proud to say I never _seriously_ considered killing either of them.

I dropped about $100 once at a Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. Ten years later I spent $75 for steak and martinis at a Bookbinder’s in Alexandria. On balance, I preferred Bookbinder’s.
I still haven’t been to Restaurant Eve in Alexandria. Haven’t met a girl I wanted to impress that much who wasn’t a vegetarian.

Gee, I didn’t realize we were so extravagant…we go out for breakfast on a regular basis for $45 (with 2 7-year-olds).
We’ve done a number of expensive dinners and enjoyed them all immensely.
Canoe - C$200-$300 for 2 with wine (~6 times in 12 years)
Susur - C$300 for 2 with wine (birthday/valentine dinner)
Napa Wine Train - U$250 for 3 with wine
My brother had travelled to France and was told to go to a specific restaurant and drop a name. He was given a tasting menu with paired wines. He was a little shocked at the U$600+ bill.
