When I tilt my head and put eardrops in my ear (duh), I feel like they are coming out the inner corner of my eye.

Oh god yes! I know that feeling! Even though I haven’t put eardrops in my ear for ages I can still remember exactly what it feels like.

Not referred pain, as such, but referred sensation: if I’m cleaning out my ears with a Q-tip (yes, I’ve read the “do not insert in ear canal” thing, but nothing else has any power over my mutant earwax), when I hit certain spots, I get a tickle in my throat.

That is the Vagus nerve. Mine was irritated by a small piece of hair after getting a haircut. The result was 16 hours of hic-coughing. It is also the time that I realized why there is a Ears, Nose and Throat medical specialist.
