The main issue that I’d have with the article is the emphasis on it being a pre-Clovis site. There are quite a few pre-Clovis sites around, so many that the Clovis-First hypothesis is pretty well defunct among archeologists. The date of 30K BP has even been claimed for some other site (can’t remember which one) and that is controversial.

That was sort of my point. I didn’t think there were any sites older than 16-18k BP that weren’t “quite controversial”. If this date of 30k BP is more like “widely accepted”, that is a huge shift in our understanding of humans in the America’s.
