What is the point of motor tricycles?

Too often???

Hell, even the one time was no picnic.

Only once?!

Wish I could say that! :smack:

Given my issues with balance, I can only ride a Harley in two cases:

  1. If someone else drives,
  2. Or if it’s a trike.

Sometimes I feel tempted to buy one just to see the look in my brothers’ faces…

I could also imagine one as a compromise bike between husband and wife -
My wife would freak if I were to buy a bike, but I could imagine convincing her a trike is safe enough, and it is still closer to a bike than a car

Bolding mine.

Why not try a lightweight two-wheeler, then?

If you like to stop at every biker friendly bar along your route and have several rounds of Tequila with beer chasers at each establishment (and who doesn’t?), a trike makes it easier to not fall down, slide, or crash for no reason (except for, you know, the Tequila).

Also better in a stiff wind.

The new trikes have independent suspension in the rear, at least the Goldwings but I’ll bet Harleys have them too. That means you can lean in the corners.

We went on a ride in the mountains Sunday and the GW trike in the group kept up just fine. The woman driving went right through the corners like the rest of the two-wheelers.

We saw about ten or so trikes on the road in Rocky Mountain National Park.

The only problem I saw was that the sticker was $35,000 and the tourists all wanted their picture taken on it.
