A friend of mine was convinced that (I don’t remember which) either the Mormons or the Jehovah’s Witnesses had an elite group of assassins called the Sword of Jehovah, and that they were some of the best-trained assassins in the world. ---

Apparently there are groups of black people who have believed for quite a while that the white man would come to take back their neighborhoods. And, of course, the gentrification of some neighborhoods in New York City and Los Angeles is proving them right. ---

There’s a somewhat noteworthy scientist – his name is escaping me now and Google isn’t helping – who believes that our nostrils point down because viruses fall from space, and therefore evolution protects us from these interstellar diseases by not allowing them to pass directly from the heavens into our respiratory system. Also, my friend believes that Stephen Colbert takes his name from one of Louis the XIV’s ministers. ---
