ok - first off: I searched the SD archives and BBS and didn’t find this question. Second, I know there’s a ton of info on the net about this; rather, that’s the problem. Many different people are saying many different things, and I don’t know what the facts are. I need the straight dope. So, if Cecil and his team have already answered this, please post the link. Otherwise, my question stands: What is the TRUE origin of Halloween? Why do I get the impression that it’s not nearly as evil as is depicted by most Christians? What are its TRUE meanings and origins with other cultures and religions? I fear that (for various reasons) it is losing its popularity. Is that true? (I hope not 'cause I really want my daughter to enjoy it as much as I have). c-man ---
