Berlin Wall and German Fence first. The orange terror’s attempted wall next. Up Against the Wall Motherfucker is a strong third. Pink Floyd drags in afterward. YMMV. ---

The last few lines of Pink Floyd The Wall: “…and some stagger, and fall. After all, it’s not easy Beating your heart against some mad bugger’s wall.” Until the pandemic, I was thinking of these words a lot. ---

To me, it’s originally the Berlin Wall, which I remember seeing fall as a kid in the late '80s. It is also the DMZ between the Koreas, which I saw in 2014. Had the opportunity to visit the [JSA](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joint_Security_Area), so I took the trip. Tripler Pink Floyd was always a \*commentary on the Berlin Wall to me.
