# What is the worst alcoholic drink you've ever had?

I can now add Iowa wines to the list. ANY Iowa wine. Iowa is known for many things: try the sweet corn, especially Grimes Peaches and Cream sweet corn; eat the Pork and the Beef; go to the State Fair. Never, EVER drink the wine.

At risk of resurrecting a zombie:

1. Dorm-fermented orange juice. Tastes like rotten oranges, yields the mildest of buzzes.

2. A “gourmet designer” shot of sake, diced clams, raw quail egg, and… I forget, but does it matter? I think it’s important to mention I didn’t throw up.

I drank a bottle of Jim Beam once and got sick as anything. It could have been a bad bottle, but I’ve never touched the stuff since.

A friend of mine would order a shot of amaretto, and then sip on it for a while. His claim was that he saw Buddy Guy do it that way.

I’m rather fond of whiskey sours. A year or so I ordered one at a restaurant in Ottawa, and as near as I could tell, I got a glass of lemonade. I couldn’t detect even a hint of whiskey or anything else alcoholic. So this anecdote may not qualify for this thread?
