What trend makes your eyes roll instinctively, when it comes up? What’s “the look” you sported that, looking back just seems so ridiculous? My regret is 80’s the decade of the over-oversized shoulder pad. At that time I worked in an office and every blouse, dress and jacket had football uni size shoulders. I would post a pic but there are no pics of me on the internet and I plan to keep it that way. ---

Remember the early 90s [Hypercolor T-shirt craze](http://www.smithsonianmag.com/arts-culture/why-hypercolor-t-shirts-were-just-a-one-hit-wonder-3353436/)? Yeah, I was one of those idiot teenagers walking around with armpit stains and handprints all over their shirts. I committed a lot of fashion crimes in the 80s and 90s, but that one sticks out. Hopefully any photographic evidence was destroyed a long time ago. ---

In junior high, wearing army fatigue jackets was a thing in the early seventies. Not sure if it counts as a fashion trend. Oh, and you got your friends to write messages all over them, like in a yearbook. ---

In the early '80’s, I had an outfit I was particularly fond of–a blue striped shirt under a looser fitted solid blue shirt, under a largish white jacket, all with the collars turned up. Sometimes I would include a red shirt layer in there too. Around the same time and a little bit later into my proto-goth days, I also wore my hair mostly short with one strand long enough to hang down to my chin in front. ---

I have a group picture of myself and several of my best pals, all gussied up for our first school dance (6th grade). This was at the tail end of the '60s and we were in a flyover state, so our fashions were likely a good 4-5 years out of date. We were all wearing either white or yellow lipstick. (Lipstick was the only makeup we were allowed to wear at that age) The effect can only be described as animated tweener corpses. I’m sure I’ve worn equally awful stuff over the years, but don’t have the photographs to remind me of it. ---

I once spent almost a month’s salary (part time) on a Members Only jacket. I tore the hell out of it crawling out a window onto a roof to pull back a drunk and about-to-die Freshman at a Frat House less than a month later. I found that jacket at the back of a closet a year or two back and that horrible ugly stitched “scar” was the only thing about it that I found worth while. 🆒 ---

I also had a Hypercolor shirt as a kid. I remember _really_ wanting one, which is the most embarrassing part. These shirts stopped “working” if washed or dried at too high of a temperature, and I only wore mine a couple of times before my mother ruined it. Although in retrospect she was probably unintentionally doing me a favor. I mostly thought this was a stupid trend even at the time, but I did own one bodysuit in the mid '90s. I had seen this one in the store and liked it because it was a kind of Zorro or pirate style shirt – no ruffle or anything, but it had a pointy collar and the front laced up. But it turned out that I found wearing a bodysuit to be very uncomfortable and awkward. I didn’t like how tight it was and the crotch snap was unpleasant. I would have liked it a lot more if it had just been a regular shirt, although again it may be just as well that I only wore this thing a couple of times.
