Does anybody recognize [this cartoon](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v606/Levonian/1140056766325gr9-1.jpg)? It looks hauntingly familiar, but I just can’t put my finger on where I’ve seen it. It looks like late 60’s – early 70’s animation, so I must have seen it as a child, but I’m completely stumped. Googling the file name doesn’t help. ---

[QUOTE=Derleth] _Lupin III_, I think. (Geek. Geek. Geek.) [/QUOTE] Seconded. ---

Thirded. And, yes, **Derleth** , you’re not the only geek here. 😃 ---

Forgive my insipid stupidity, but are you people seconding and thirding **Derleth’s** assertion that the cartoon is _Lupin III_, or that he is a geek? 😕 ---

Yup, the mods might as well lock the thread. It’s the [good guys](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Lupin_gang.jpg) from [Lupin III](http://www.lupinofficial.com/). **Warning! second link has sound and flash animation!** ---

My apologies - I was thirding that it was three characters from [Lupin III](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lupin_III), from left to right: Jigen, Lupin and Goemon. If you want to see these characters in action in a very satisfying film, check out [The Castle of Cagliostro](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079833/). One warning, I believe this is in many ways the most enjoyable of the Lupin movies or shows, but it has to be mentioned that the characters are not representative of how the rest of the animated shows portray them. ---

_The Castle of Cagliostro_ is great. Early Miyasaki! Fantastico! ---

And I recently mentioned it in this thread [Are there submerged towns under lakes created by dam building? - Cecil's Columns/Staff Reports - Straight Dope Message Board](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=437364) add me to the geek parade, I adore Miyazaki (especially Porco Rosso). ---

Wasn’t clips from this turned into the old laserdisk arcade game Cliff Hanger? ---
