A friend just texted me [this](https://imgur.com/a/nQd72KP) asking what it is. (Found in South Carolina.) No indication of scale. It doesn’t seem to match possum or raccoon. Ideas?

I’m thinking ‘deer’ as well. Of course w/o size, It’s a WAG.

Those grooved teeth might help with identification.

But the question remains what killed our dear deer friend, were there signs of a struggle, any semen recovered from the scene?
