# What is this room in the White House?

Obviously a dining room, but not THE dining room – I’ve seen pictures of [THE White House dining room](https://www.whitehousehistory.org/white-house-tour/state-dining-room) and that ain’t it. Almost certainly not the POTUS’ private dining room in his quarters, because no civilian is going to get anywhere near there.

Best I can figure, it’s like a canteen for the White House Press Corps. Or something.
