Several years ago I heard a song on the local college rock station, which mostly plays obscure music. To this day, I remember only the melody of it, no lyrics. But I remember the melody so vividly and clearly that I was able to play it on the guitar. Forgive the out of tune guitar, it was done hastily. The song is very reverb-y and I tried to manipulate the audio file to replicate that sound. There is some vocal harmony at the beginning of the song, with low and soft voices. The tempo of the melody in the audio clip is as it was when I heard it in the song. Same slow pace. There are two parts that I remember and recorded: the opening of the song, which is what you will first hear on the clip and is very reverb-y, and then a guitar solo (which, in the song, is played on a distorted electric guitar) which comprises the second part of the clip. I used the Sound Hound App on iPhone & it came up with nothing for the first part and “Ma Cherie” by Malice Mizer or “How Men Are” by Aztec Camera for the second half. From your description, I don’t think either one fits. ---
