I recorded [this song](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rql8eOMn7Y8&fmt=22) yesterday at Amp studios with Kenny Aronoff drumming. In the audience are about 40 musicians, many of whom seemed to know this song, but for some reason I did not. Can someone please help me figure out the name of the song/jam? Also, if anyone can identify the other players in the room, that would be great, thanks! ---

Sounds familiar, but I can’t put my finger on it. “Have Mercy” by ZZ Top? Nah. The bassist looks like Rudy Sarzo. ---

I don’t know the song BUT It has a very 1970’s Rock/Blues sound (Robin Trower?). Unclviny ---

…I believe it originated with Albert King, was made popular by Cream, and was covered by pretty much everybody. ---

I wanted to give the YouTube video the name of the song so it’s not called “Kenny Aronoff song.” I wouldn’t doubt if ZZ Top, Jimi Hendrix, or as **mack** mentioned, Cream or Albert King … Hopefully someone can come up with the song title so I can title the YouTube video 🙂 **GESancMan** you may be right about Rudy Sarzo, but the guy I recorded is wearing glasses; does Rudy wear glasses ever? I listened to the musicians talking about what song they want to play (which part I did not include in the video I uploaded to YouTube) and one of them says, “Let’s do the jam at the end of …” and I can’t hear what he says then. I’ve re-listened to that part several times, it’s something like “Give me the evil” or “Jimmy Kinevil” or something rhyming with that, but I can’t make out the words well enough to Google it out. ---

I’ve never seen him in glasses either, but perhaps he’s wearing them instead of contacts because it’s a relaxed setting? I dunno. I still can’t figure out what the song is, either, and now it’s bugging me, too. 🙂 ETA: I just looked up Rock & Roll Fantasy Camp web site, and Sarzo is listed as a participant this year. ---

However, since they never went to the V & IV, I think instead it’s probably not a specific song at all and they were just jamming on a riff the bassist made up. That’s my guess.
