Despite my extreme fear of driving in San Francisco, I’ll be there. (Sorry, Miller, just giving you advance warning in case I have a panic attack. We HEARD the fireworks from where we sat, halfway across town, lol. Had a great time and met lots of new people. Yes Rachel is attractive, although I didn’t notice so much as I was busy being enamored of myself for some reason last night. (Not to mention our beef-cakey waiter (who **Miller** claimed was spitting image of his uncle, if only 45 years younger), and **White Lightning** , who showed me his underpants - WOO WOO!) Interesting snippits of conversation I remember: A mild debate over which was the better cartoon – He-Man & She-Ra or the Smurfs; best TV show having starred Scott Bakula; the bizarre timing of **Demo’s** thread about how we fill him with ennui (or something) – though we did decide that it would’ve been worse if he’d posted it today, as if last night were some sort of “last straw”; and a hilarious discussion I had with **SlackerGirl** and **xcheopis** about the stupidity of science in movies. (Our favorite was the claim from _Time Cop_ that they knew some gold bars were “really old” because they had CARBON DATED them.) Are you going to post pics, **Snooooopy?** I’m curious to see how long my curls lasted. They were a sorry state by the time I got home. ---

Oh my god, last night was so much fun! It was very cool meeting new people like **Spoiler Virgin** (Guys, keep your eyes on this one. Humble, shy and TOTALLY sweet, not to mention her Conan Obrien/Harvard experience.), **White lightning** (Who is laid back and intrinsically cool; the kind of person who’s very easy to hang out with.) and **xcheopis** (Who is an intellectual of the highest order and has awesome stories about carnies :D). Unfortunately, you never get to spend enough time with enough people at these things, so I hope I get to meet **Miller, Drach, cyn and Tars** again soon, and get to know them better. And hopefully I won’t forget my cell phone in the car next time. Sorry **JJ**!:o I think we made a new Doper with kyla’s friend Rachel too! yay! Cecil’s minions hard at work recruiting more drones. 😛 It was also way cool catching up with old friends like **Sassy** , **Sea Diver** , **Kyla** , **zyzzyva** , **slackergirl** , **voguevixen** and **snoooopy**. **Kyla** just made my night by getting hammered, flipping out and going way ninja on our asses. It was so cool I kicked my mom in the head! (and wailed on my guitar). Max’s was a great venue and the Irish bar was way cool too. **psycat** and I didn’t get home until 6 am, after ending up at **zyzz’s** house with he and **Sea**! Thanks for having us over, zyzz. Thanks for coming everyone! Looking forward to seeing you all again soon(and to **snoop’s** pics ;)). Don’t forget, we need to give Kyla a good send off sometime soon(there’s _Carnival_ in the city soon) and you’re all invited to the BBQ at our house august 10th! Be there or be square. 😉 ---

I just needed to chime in and say I had a very fun night. I really should try to read the board a little more, I think I forgot what a cool group of people frequent it. And I’m sorry I didn’t get to talk with more people. At one point in the night I was feeling a little green, I think I over-indulged on my rueben a bit at the diner. I’m sure it had nothing to do with the Guinness, or the Vodka and Cranberry juice, or the Lemon Drop. 😉 See you all next time! ---
