lol. wow. some of you guys need to learn respect. i guess your parents did not teach you that. sucky parents in my opinion. at least i raised my twins right…now…if you have nothing else to do but to make irrelevent comments…please…go play in traffic or something.🙂 ---

Yeah, those guys should really learn some respect. They should stop telling other posters that they have bad parents and then tell them to play in traffic. Alternatively, you could assume that posters are reacting to you for a reason, really look at the comments, constructive criticism, and helpful replies and stop responding in a rude, defensive way. Maybe read other threads to get to know the place and the community. Y’know, learn from your errors. That’d be a nice thing to teach your twins, too. ---

Yes, please link to something with some more information. Like the address of the store, so I can go to Google street view and see that it has its windows plastered with scratch ticket and energy drink posters so thieves know they’re hitting a place with plenty of concealment. ---

Maybe you weren’t really asking questions. Assuming that you weren’t, I’ll say I’m sorry you’re feeling bad. I’m sorry that the clerk got hurt. I’m sorry that people are jerks on Facebook, and that they pretend that being a jerk is having a rational discussion. I’m sorry that there’s evil in the world. Oh, and law enforcement pay is not going to be lowered. The people who plan and decide things know that would be a bad idea. ---

You can’t make this up, folks. OTOH, coffee as a weapon is nothing new. In this case, it was intended to frighten, hurt, and distract; you almost could have gotten the same effect from a nice cold Slurpee or period equivalent. And it might be worth pointing out (but probably isn’t) that it doesn’t look like the clerk had to be sent to a burn center, just outpatient treatment at the (snerk) Coffee Doc. I’d guess _maybe_ some second-degree, but I’d be shocked if it was any worse than that. . ---

Your Original Post was a mixture of complaints about injustice, (typically posted in The BBQ Pit forum) and a search for opinions about how to react to such events, (typically posted in the In My Humble Opinion forum. I am going to close this thread to prevent it turning into more of a trainwreck. If you still need your question answered, I would suggest that you open a new thread in one of the other forums, focusing on whether you want to rant or seek opinions. (You may wish to avoid The BBQ Pit.) If you do, I would suggest that you leave off the background information and just ask the simple question to which you want an answer. That will reduce the number of posters who feel obliged to “debate” (challenge) your post. (Posting with better capitalization will also reduce snide comments.
