My “aaaaahhhhhh, another day over and damn this feels good” moment is when I get in bed to read myself to sleep. The very, very best part of this special moment is when I have my toesies peel the sock off its partner and the soft, soft blanky settles in on my bare hooves . . . . mmmmmm.
Aaaahhhhh, only six more hours to this moment!

It just happened. The computer is acting up, the air is stifling, my shoulders are killing me(aftereffect from accident a month back)…and a co-worker just set an ice cold diet Wild Cherry Pepsi in front of me, smiled and left. _Damn_, that hit the spot.

Home from work, changed into yoga pants and a t-shirt, and mixing a drink to sip while making dinner. It’s the best!

When I get home and take off the work clothes and the bra and get into my jammies, robe, and slippers. Then I settle down in front of the TV with my knitting.
Although getting into bed with my Kindle is a close second, if not tied for first.

When I get in to bed with my doggies.
I’ve eaten, I’ve worked out, I’ve showered, I’ve listened to the ballgame, I’ve finished my chores, I’ve let the dogs out and in and out and in, I’ve brushed my teeth and washed my face. I’m DONE.

That’s only half of it, going to bed for the night. The other comparable moment is when I get up in the morning, looking forward to another day. If those are the two best moments of your day, you must be doing something right.

That first cup of coffee in the morning. The coffee maker is set to come on about 15 minutes before the alarm goes off. I wake up, stumble into the kitchen to be greeted by a fresh pot of coffee, pour myself a cup, and crawl back in bed to listen to the news while I sip my coffee.

It’s that first cup of coffee in the morning. Seriously. No part of the day is as “ahhhhh” as that first cup of coffee. On the days I go for a run, it’s walking the front door and smelling the coffee. On the days I don’t run, it’s **Suburban Plankton** bringing it to me in bed.

Getting into bed (a Tempurpedic) all cozy with my pillows and bankies, and my kitty comes onto the bed and does her treads. The best part of the day. The second best part of the day is lunch.

All this. And the exact moment is when Mollie (she’s a dog. Har Har!) realizes its really bed time, jumps up on her side of the bed (yes, she has a side. Don’t judge me!) and aggressively FLOPS down.
I mean, she lays down with a some enthusiasm. Usually followed by a deep doggie inhale and exhale. Always brings a smile to my face while I finish off a few pages on the Kindle.

The kids are asleep, I get myself a little dessert (usually either ice cream or a couple pieces of Walker’s shortbread slathered with Nutella) and a glass of wine or whiskey.

Just reading this thread gives me that “aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh” feeling 🙂
I have to add that my mini-aaaaaahhhhh moment is taking off and flinging the bra into its drawer after a work day. A short survey of the thread yields that this is an important moment in female Dopers’ lives.

The instant my coworker walks through the door (at work, not at home. That would be weird) to take over for the night shift is my aaaaaahhhhhh cue. Fill out the shift handover paperwork, and I am out…the…door!
Then once I get home, my cute lil puppies, who were already in bed with the wife, wearily come see me at the door with their butts all a waggiling. That’s aaaaaahhhhh number two.
THEN, kick off shoes and get into comfy pants and crack an ice cold beer is aaaaahhhh #3.
