Pepper Mill, my wife, admits that her knowledge of classical music comes from Bugs Bunny.

For me, _The Blue Danube_ invariably brings up memories of spaceships gliding between the earth and the moon, from Kubrick’s _2001_. But when my wife hears the music, her reaction is to go _Quack quack, quack quack!_ (from Bob Clampett’s _A Corny Concerto_, his parody of _Fantasia_), which kinda spoils the mood.\*

\*It’s telling that neither of us visualize elegant Viennese waltzers gliding around a ballroom.

Our city orchestra did a program of classical music that came from WB cartoons, with a big display boards playing the cartoons at the same time.

Trivia: _Feed the Kitty_ was pretty much cribbed by Pixar for the scene in _Monsters, Inc._ where Sullivan thinks he’s watching Boo get run through a trash compactor.

I’ll go with Beaky Buzzard in the Loony Tunes cartoons.
I still occasionally get that song he sings stuck in my head: “I’m bringing home a baby bumble bee…”

One of my favorites: [Sahara Hare](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sahara_Hare).

Yosemite Sam:

2nd place for me is those “Ralph Phillips” 'toons: the little boy acts out daydreams wherever he happens to be and gets into trouble. Sorta proto-Calvin (& Hobbes).

I’ve not nailed down a favorite yet, but many have been mentioned. I’ve managed to acquire a complete collection of all 1000 Looney Tunes/Merry Melodies and have a goal of watching them all. I’m still in the early Bosko cartoons.

I’ll add in some favorites, Ren and Stimpy Space Madness and Stimpy’s Invention.
Speaking of Duck Amuck, I was surprised to have completely forgotten about a sequel with Bugs Bunny in the same situation. [Rabbit Rampage](https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x18o05g). [Rabbit Rampage - Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabbit_Rampage)

> For some reason, I’ve always liked _[Bugs and Thugs](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugs_and_Thugs)_, a cartoon in which Bugs Bunny is accidentally taken to the hideout of a gang of bank robbers. It featured the classic line, “Would I throw a lighted match in the oven if my pal was in here?”

I once almost answered a County Commissioner in a public hearing with the phrase, “You might, Rabbit. You might.” in that Irish cops voice.

Feed the Kitty was also parodied in South Park. It was part of the three episode series in which Cthulhu arose in the Gulf of Mexico, after the BP oil disaster.

Speaking of Bosko, I’d be very interested to know if there are any of the early toons in B&W that you find too painful to watch because the sound is often scratchy and uneven and the video also displays many of the problems common to the very early toons. I have difficulty sitting through many of the Bosko and Buddy toons because of the many problems with the audio and video.

1000 tunes? Wow! That is very impressive. I have been collecting these toons for almost 20 years now and after all the work I’ve done, the grand total number of the WB Merrie Melody tunes I have saved is 437.

I salute you!

As do I. I have all six of the [Loonie Tunes Golden Collections](https://smile.amazon.com/Looney-Tunes-Golden-Collection-6-Pack/dp/B005NFJAQC/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=warner+brothers+golden+collection&qid=1578165430&sr=8-2) that came out as they came out so that’s roughly a third of the WB animated output. Whoever was in charge of that project must have gotten disinterested because they stopped at six about ten years ago.

Now, honestly, they pretty well cover all the excellent ones with these, but I’m a completist, dammit!

I have compiled a list of the titles of the 1,000 Warner Brothers Loony Toons and Merrie Melody catoons that I could find. I have included the year each cartoon was produced as well as four links pointing to the source of this info so you can see for yourself if you like.

I am putting this list in a spoiler box because I would think only a very small number of people would want to examine or copy it and it would just spam everyone else since it is more than 1,000 lines long.

I’m partial to the series of Daffy/Porky pairings where Daffy is the brash hero and Porky is the loyal sidekick. Duck Dodgers in the 24th-and-a-Half Century is probably the apotheosis, but there were a few other really good ones like Dripalong Daffy, Robin Hood Daffy, and The Scarlet Pumpernickel.

No idea as to the names of the cartoons, but my favorites would be the one where Bugs Bunny finds Aladdin’s lamp. “Three cheers and a tiger for me, I have won!”

Also Foghorn Leghorn, one in which he is babysitting Eggbert. “Fortunately I always keep my feathers numbered for just such an occasion,” and “No, I better not look. I might still be in there.”

Oh, and I’ve always been partial to Mr. Peabody and Sherman. “Chicken catch a Tory?”

Not to put down all your labor, but are you familiar with this? It lists all the WB cartoons and gives a brief commentary/synopsis:
