The Circle City, because of I-465, which encompasses the entire city (in a circle!), and also probably because of some race called the Indianapolis 500 over on the west side.

I don’t know if that really is a nickname. More of a location.

Usually O-Town or The Mouse House is heard most often in Orlando.

Just got me thinking of other “central florida” names. Kissimmee/St Cloud is Cow Town and Winterpark is Rollinsville.

Houston can be variously refered to as:

The Bayou City
H-Town

and while not nearly as common, my personal favorite:

Magnolia City

During certain times of the year, we can be refered to as:

Hot 'N Humid Burg
AC Central
or City 'O Skeeters

Orlando’s official nickname for itself is The City Beautiful. I don’t see it.

> Beantown is the one everyone’s heard of for Boston but I see it more often referred to by local media as the Hub. Wikipedia has a bunch of other nicknames but I don’t ever see anyone actually using them.

Arien, where near the Hub do you live? I’m in Canton.
