Here’s a question: When do I get to start saying I’m of American descent? If you give “American” as an answer it is percieved as vague. Why? Sure, melting pot, blah blah, and everything, but why doesn’t it count to just say “American”. When will that be an acceptable answer when discussing heritage? [/tangent]
My ancestors, the French ones, have been on this continent since the early 1700’s and the English ancestors came over not too long after that.

My mom’s mom’s mom was Bohemian.
My mom’s mom’s dad was Korean.
My mom’s dad’s mom was…gotta look that up.
My mom’s dad’s dad was an Irish Jew.
My dad’s mom’s mom and dad were Mennonites from Prince Edward County, so German, I guess.
My dad’s dad’s mom was English.
My dad’s dad’s dad was Scottish.
