The questions the movie asks- what does it mean to be human? If you can get past the need to read subtitles, or can understand German it is great. It is also one of several movies based in the same movieverse [[Dr Mabuse](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Testament_of_Dr._Mabuse) uses the same police cast, and same Alex/Berlin locations and started with a silent movie and ended up with movies running from the silent era to one filmed in 1990 as Dr M, which I have not managed to get a copy and see. ] ---
