I haven’t seen many of his movies, and so I would also have to say _Valley Girl_. It’s not really one of my favorite movies, and I did not see it until I had moved to Los Angeles - I was living in San Francisco when it was released, and I did not go to mainstream movies back then. ---

Another easy vote for _Leaving Las Vegas_. One of the best performances by any actor I’ve ever seen. I’ll also add some love to _The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent_. ---

In the war, Riley is a sarge. From what I can tell, that would be someone who is 25-33. That tops out his age at 48 in Spider Noir. Nic is 64. The thing is, he looks it. They didn’t try to do anything, which is probably better overall but he looked it. Now, this is not a knock on Nic. He looks like a 64 year old. There is nothing wrong with that. It’s just that I don’t think Ben Riley would be that old. Having said that, I still enjoyed it and binged it in a day. Great show! Thanks for the discussion! ---

I believe spider-totems across the Spiderverse come in all shapes, sizes and ages. For example, Peni Parker (Japanese teenaged girl) and Peter Porker (Spider-Ham). ---

If there was a person today, in 2026, whose face looked like that, most people would peg them as being at least a decade older.
