My favorite song has been Don McClean’s American Pie for many many years. No idea why. ---

The song I’m currently listening to over and over: [Her Black Wings](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2myWxYAzUw8) by Danzig. Previous one: [Thrift Shop](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QK8mJJJvaes) by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis Wut wut? Wut wut? ---

You sure any song goes? Well, alright then. Time for you to be indulged in music that’s not in the english language. https://www.youtube.com/embed/4-3gU0fX72c?feature=oembed&wmode=opaque&list=PLKQnbSZ_-jaf3jtctZdeOg9eY2m4eubvO This is A Doll’s Voice. It’s a Japanese song (which was actually written based off a book by Chinese. Good grief!) The person singing isn’t a human (sort of), It’s a synthesizer. These singing synthesizers are called _VOCALOIDS_. You can read more about them [here](http://vocaloid.wikia.com/wiki/VOCALOID). ---

Thanks you all. Really eclectic tastes (with more metal than I would have thought). Not surprisingly, I was surprised. Even more than I expected. I sort of assumed that all songs would at least be sung by humans, for instance. 🙂 Bring 'em on! ---

I’ve gotten rather fond of Melanie Fiona’s [Bang Bang](http://youtu.be/F6HlYfbaWd0). As a small change of pace, there’s Band of Horses’ [The Funeral](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMFWFhTFohk). Good for getting rid of ear worms is Sly Bastard’s version of [7 Nation Army](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yDRfVgTcYw). I prefer the less finished (as in pre-record contract) version of Scars on 45’s [Give Me Something](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bU3noqvozw), but I’m not sure its findable anymore. This is pretty good. If you want something booming through your bass, you can’t really beat Kodo’s [O-Daiko](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7HL5wYqAbU). Eerie and lovely, Hang Massive’s [Double Hang Action](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ni6mmXnqmN4). (Yes, it’s another Hang piece.) ---

After listening to the new M.I.A. album, my new favorite song is [Bring the Noize.](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wE2ExYY1Xw) And I’ll cast a third vote for Pitbull and Ke$ha’s _Timber_. Just to make sure it wins this thread. ---

My favorite song so far this year is “Wake Me Up” by Avicii and Aloe Blacc. [![](https://img.youtube.com/vi/IcrbM1l_BoI/maxresdefault.jpg "Avicii - Wake Me Up (Official Video)") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcrbM1l_BoI) I usually don’t like this type of music, but the lyrics got me right in the feels. ---
