I just finished my tinfoil-covered-box robot costume tonight, and it looks so sweet I can’t wait to show it off. I’ll get pics up tomrrow since nobody’s awake in my house to snap the shot right now. In the meantime, does anyone else have a costume they’re particularly proud of this year? Post with pics if possible! ---

I have a big Elmo doll that you can push the stomach and it talks. I cut the head off, cut the legs off, and gutted it completely. I am going to duct tape Elmo’s head to my head, and then duct tape his body and legs to a wife-beater shirt. Then I will tape the voice mechanism to my side and spatter blood on the shirt and doll. If people ask me anything, I will press my side and Elmo can then ask for a hug. ---

I was a schoolgirl this year. Corny, I know, but all the costumes I looked at were too expensive or too silly. This just came together with a trip to the mall and Target. I’ll post some pics after work. ---

I know a guy who made two gigantic Katamari heads (one for him, one for his SO). He brought them to work and I was the only one who recognized it. (Never played any of the Katamari games except for a demo.) ---

I wanted to be Wonder Woman, but couldn’t find a costume that wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg in shipping (and no patterns to make it myself, waaaah) so I am going to be Lil’ Miss Riding Hood. With bloomers, because that costume is pretty slutty otherwise. ---

I am Sandy from Grease. I wanted something cute, but that didn’t scream WHORE. So I have the long red skirt and cheerleader sweater. One guy at work asked me what Grease was. I told him he was too young to speak and to just shut up and go to hell. ---

I re-created Charlie Brown’s ghost costume from the Great Pumpkin special. White sheet with eyeholes and big black spots drawn in magic marker, a “Tricks or Treats” bag and a rock. ---
