My bachelor’s is in social work, and second semester senior year I knew there was no way in hell I could make it my career. My field experiences were quite disconcerting, and once I graduated I made more money doing clerical work than anything I could find available with my BSW. The kind of jobs I was interested in required a MSW or higher, and I had hated my social welfare policy classes so much I wanted nothing to do with more coursework in the subject. People say teachers are underpaid and underappreciated, but they are gods compared to social workers. I tip my hat to you. ---

They haven’t been particularly helpful for “layering” educational requirements for jobs but have made it even harder to match our own alphabet soup of educational degrees to those of other EU countries.
