I’m not too concerned. Media hysteria aside, the numbers so far make this look like pretty weak tea. I’ll live my life as I always do, and see my doctor if problems arise. Yes, the stock market is tanking, but I expect that to come back up in a month or two when things sort themselves out. ---

I am worried about my health. I’m in a vulnerable catagory; insulin dependent. I’m afraid things will shut down and Insulin will not be available. And other meds and supplies I need. Of course, I worry about my loved ones health as well. ---

I worry about my health and my wife & family. I voted my health because I had pneumonia at age 22. Put me in the hospital for 8 days on IV antibiotics. It got scary because the first antibiotic wasn’t enough. They had to add a 2nd one after my lab tests. Coronavirus would hit me harder than others. ---

I work from home so generally not in contact with the bubonic hordes. But I live with my daughter (who works remotely as a FIFO) and grandkids who attend a local primary school. Having said that, I just got back from Vietnam a couple of days ago, and was dismayed that there were no basic health checks on arrival at Sydney airport. Nor were there any checks when we landed in HCMC. Well, anyways, so far all healthy here…the biggest drama in Aus is panic-buying of friggin dunny paper ffs. People are morons. 😃 ---

People close to me. My wife has been fighting breast cancer since last summer, and while everything seems to be going well so far, she’s still weaker than she should be. My mom, in turn, has been fighting pancreatic cancer since 2012, and while she’s still alive - amazingly - she’s not in good shape at all (the cancer is in remission, but the treatments have ravaged her body). There’s no way she’d survive the virus. My dad, while healthy, is 72 years only. And finally, my brother is a quadriplegic, and while he’s in good health, he’s still in a major risk group. Myself, I’m an ox. I’ll be fine. ---

General destabilizing of global equilibrium, spread equally over economic, political and social. Very similar to the way 9-11 did the same thing, and equally engineered by the powerful antl-China media to have that effect. ---

I’m mainly concerned at how quickly people have degenerated into idiocy. People were already on edge, and if this thing was any more serious than it actually is, I’m genuinely dubious civilized society would endure for long. ---

I’m not very concerned at all about the virus itself. I am becoming somewhat concerned about society’s response to the virus. I suspect that, in the end, more people will end up killed by the response than by the virus. File that under “general economic”, I guess. ---

I’m concerned about work. I’m a cleaner at a hospital (in Norway) and we’re already understaffed, plus a few people on sick leave. Infections are going up, people are getting hospitalized, our government and health department has been incredibly slow to react to the situation… It might (or might already have spun) spin out of control. Work might become a living hell for a while. And afterwards, when all planned operations put on hold need to be done before christmass. In general I’m not worried about myself though, I could use a two week quarantine to be honest. I’m worried about infecting others though… ---

Concerned for a number of elderly relatives, some of whom live in assisted-living facilities - exactly the kind of place where this thing sweeps through like a brushfire once it gets in. ---

I’m not concerned too much about my own health. Risks for me are low, I am taking the recommended precautions and am not one to panic and overreact. I do worry about people I know who are in the vulnerable demographic. General economic impact and things closing down I can see being an issue eventually, but it’s too early to know how much just yet. It could just as easily be negligible as much as it might be a mega-disaster. I’ll worry about those later. If there is anything positive to come out of this, I’m hoping it’s a liberal dose of perspective and a monumental improvement in healthcare going forward. I can but dream. ---

Several of the items. In rough order, my wife’s health, my health, and my personal finances. My personal finance worries will be determined after March 15, depending on a particular deal going through. If all goes well, that worry will go away. There’s also my concern about the convention I run. It’s in September, but we may end up being on the hook if we have to cancel it.
