Downtrodden Peasant… Dang, so I have to be on the receiving end of the violence that’s inherent in the system? Help, help, I’m being oppressed! No, actually I was Prime Minister. Somehow I can’t help but think this is some sort of mistake tho. ---

The wife should find this interesting. She says I’m arrogant, and I don’t plan far into the future: our distinct personality, The Engineer-Builder might be found in most of the thriving kingdoms of the time. Your overriding goal is to stick with the plan and get the job done. “If it ain’t broken don’t fix it.” is your motto. You provide structure and stability to your world. Your procedures are predictable and dependable. Your methods are proven and tested. You offer results not surprises. On the positive side, you are practical, just, realistic, pragmatic and rational. On the negative side, you may be dogmatic, rigid, short-sighted, indecisive, unimaginative and arrogant. Interestingly, your preference is just as applicable in today’s corporate kingdoms. ---

Ought to go through the thread here and count up the total numbers for the “Straight Dope Medieval Society”. We seem to be a bit predisposed to Dreamer-Minstrels, and Benevolent Rulers. Which to me doesn’t seem like it would form a very stable societal base, but I could always be wrong. ---

This is my rough count. Dreamer/Minstrel 25 Benevolent Ruler 17 Prime Minister 11 Discoverer 10 (I’m one!!!) White Knight 9 Black Knight 6 Shepherd 6 Doctor 3 Engineer 3 Scientist 3 Bishop 2 Merchant 2 …And Lexicon is our town drunk 😉 It looks to me like our medical/scientific community is slightly a mess…but I prefer a good lullaby anytime! ---
