I was reading a Wikipedia article about [Pliny The Elder](http://tinyurl.com/3rldm6), and I got to thinking what a cool name that was. So if you could have a “THE” name what would it be? Like Mark “the cool,” or Mark “the Great” or whatever descriptive name follows the word “THE” what would it be Also follow up question, would that name be the one others would apply to you. I would be “Mark the unusual” And yes other people would think it fits ---

I would say my name, then occupation, followed by “chosen by the GODS.” Cuckoorex, illustrator chosen by the GODS. Either that, or “of the stars” ---

This is how we routinely refer to people in our family. My sister the lesbian. Our brother the lawyer. So much so that a co-worker hearing me and my sister catch up on family news asked “Does anyone in your family have a name?” I’m “the theatre person.” ---

Mine would not be as much a “the name” as an Homeric epithet. Like “Achilles of the bright shield” or “Agamemnon of the golden scepter”, I am … drum roll please … “Typo of the endless to-do list”. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to do laundry, dishes, meal planning, grocery shopping, bill-paying, budget writing, house cleaning, tutoring, pet care, yard work, clothes shopping, certification exam prep … ---
