I used to say that a lot too. Called it “AppleTalk”.
I use shortcuts all the time.
Command N (new folder/document)
Command S (save)
Command X (cut)
Command C (copy)
Command V (paste)
Command Z (undo)
Command H (hide programm)
…
I switch tools in Freehand via shortcuts, I even use custom shortcuts for various operations in Freehand and Photoshop.
And I use the F9-F11 keys for the handy Expose functions in Panther.
I generally only use CTRL+C and CTRL+v for copying and pasting. The only other one I use on any sort of regular basis is ALT+Enter for Windows media player to switch in and out of full screen mode.
I do a lot of copying & pasting at work (I’m a glorified database editor), then there’s Alt-Tab to switch between my work app (up to three variants of the same app), our intranet, the SDMB, and whatever else happens to be open. My most used job-specific shortcuts are Alt-N (next document), Alt-U (unit data), Alt-T (jumps cursor to Type: field), and Alt-F (forward).
ALT+S to send an email without reaching for the mouse.
ALT+Q to mark spam emails as “read” so that I won’t think that there is something in “Deleted Items” that needs my attention - using this one WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAy too much at the moment.
