I’ll go with this one, my husbands siblings spouses are all frick ups and so was his parents. Or aren’t they my in-laws? My oldest brother’s wife is a snob. My deceased brother’s x-wife is a big giant asshole bordering on psychotic about our family, she kept my brother’s children for their entire minor lives out of our lives and my brothers of course. He died when they were young. My brother’s second wife is nice as far as I know, I never met her. She had a son with him too. Sad to think my brother was not here long enough…just sad. My nephew and niece now know how much we love them. The nephew has gone into the family business without even knowing its in our ancestry, handed down thru the years. (construction) He also did not know we have twins in many of our family lines He got a set first time out! :D:p My niece has not married. Her mother fricked her up good. They live in Georgia. Sisters have visited them and so has my mom, she is very happy to finally see them again. My two sister’s spouses…the oldest one is divorced from way back. He wanted to have children but my sister could not have any so he left and remarried The other one’s (the middle child and so much stereo typical of being a middle child) spouse is ok. Kind of different. So…Two SIL’s One BIL, oh and the divorced older sister has a live-in beau and he is just a hoot! I really like him, dont get to see him too often since they live in Florida but he is SOOO laid back. Nothing seems to bother him but he is a heavy drinker. Not sure what southern state he is from but his accent is a thick one when he wants to be that way ---

My brother has a wife, and my husband has a brother and a sister. Also, my brother’s wife has a brother and a sister, and my husband’s brother has a wife. I like them all really well, especially the two SILs. The BIL can be a douche, but he’s our douche. I don’t know his wife well. Brother’s wife’s sister has Down syndrome, and lives with brother and SIL. She’s pretty cool. I also have a Pit Bull-in-law named Jellybean. My cousins I grew up with are mostly married, and my relationships with their spouses is very sibling-in-law-like. ---

I was going to vote “special snowflake option” but I voted for multiples. I have: ex husband’s brother and fiancee. (son’s uncle and aunt to be) (I adore her, he is a good person, but we have little in common.) I am in regular touch with them, and the MIL from that branch of the tree. They have a little girl that looks like my son did at that age. My brother is married. So I have a SIL from that marriage. My SO has a two brothers and a sister, all of whom are married. So I have my SO family in laws too. So, I have an assortment. My ex BILs fiance is the one I feel closest to, maybe because I see her more often and we are of a similar age. ---

My brother and sisters are dead, as are their spouses, so all I have left is my wife’s two sisters. (“I have SIL only…the “my SO’s sister” kind.”) ---

My only remaining sibling is a widow. Her husband passed away about thirty years ago. My deceased brother’s first wife is still alive. The status of the second, third and fourth wives is presently unknown. My wife has two brothers, both married. She also has three sisters who are currently single Her deceased sister has a surviving husband Total: two brothers in law, four sisters in law. The other three ex wives of my brother could still be alive… ---

I have my husband’s brother, and then my late sister’s widower, whom I know only slightly. I divorced my sister years before she died, and he was some years older than she, so he might be in his mid-'70s now. After she died, he apologized for her behavior, but has not responded to any friendly overtures. ---

I have: My sister’s husband My husband has five siblings, so that’s three BILs and two SILs Three of my husband’s five siblings are currently married, so I count an additional two SILs and a BIL My other sister and two of my husband’s siblings are divorced, so I guess I have three former S/BILs. ---

I have my sisters’ husbands, they are my brothers-in-law. I also have the siblings (and their spouses) of my ex husband. I still count them as my in-laws, as well as my mother-in-law, stepfather-in-law, and all the nieces and nephews on that side. ---

My BIL, … my sister’s husband is a real peach. I don’t like the way he treats my sister at all, like a servant. Barking orders… it drives me fuckn’ mad. I’ve asked my sister if _ **home was good** _ ? She’s said yes many times. What else can I do ? Obviously there’s a history here, they’ve been together for over 15 years, and have a 10 year old together. He was polite in the beginning, but within the past five years I’m starting to see this guys true colours, and it’s black. He treats my sister, like he treats his mother. As a servant. Can I now ask DipShit not to bark at my sister while I’m in his presence now or else ? ---

Christmases are spent with my current SO, my parents, ex MIL and the ex BIL and his fiancee. The only one not welcome is my ex. :rolleyes: ---

I have my sister’s husband and then my wife’s brother and sister. I get along fairly well with all of them (though my wife’s family lives across country so I only see them once or twice a year). None have any remarkable or especially noteworthy flaws. Guess I got lucky. ---

I have a brother with a wife, and a wife with three sisters and a brother. So I have 4 SILs and 1 BIL. Although, we are close to all my wife’s sibling’s spouses so I really count them as 2 more BILs and another SIL, even if they don’t meet the strictest definition. So I’m at a total of 5 SILs and 2 BILs, plus my two brothers. Uh, we also hang out with my BIL’s brother and his soon-to-be wife. Their not technically related to me or my wife at all, being my sister-in-law’s brother-in-law. And for his fiancé, I don’t think there’s a word for your wife’s sister’s husband’s brother’s wife but that’s how I want to start introducing her to people! ---

My husband and I both have siblings and all are married. So all of the kinds. I’ve always wished there was a better way to refer to my sister in law’s husband that wasn’t so clunky. I’ve called such persons my brother in law before but it doesn’t really describe the relationship well and there has been confusion. ---

I have one SIL of each kind (my wife’s sister, my brother’s wife). Amazing, I like both of them a great deal. I actually like all my immediate in-laws a great deal. I might be the luckiest man in America. Though I dread the day when my wife’s sister marries. Girl’s got _awful_ taste in men.
