I have a mixed dog. I have theories as to what breed she is, but no confirmations.
I saw a dog that is a dead ringer for her on a Yahoo page, and my wife was curious as to whether or not any of my doper friends could identify the breed.

Here is the link:

[http://advision.webevents.yahoo.com/scp/viewer/index.php?event\_id=16433&client\_id=1173&ref\_state=poststate](http://advision.webevents.yahoo.com/scp/viewer/index.php?event_id=16433&client_id=1173&ref_state=poststate)

The dog I’m talking about is popping out of the lady’s shirt in the picture on the bottom right corner of the page, underneath the heading “Horror/Scifi”.

The dog in the photo appears to be a [Jack Russell](http://www.terrier.com/).

I couldn’t enlarge the photo…large-ish JRT (Jack Russel Terrier) or maybe a Beagle mix?

If you cross a poodle with a pug, you get puggle puppies. If you breed one of those with a golden retriever, the pups will be Googles. They’re not good show dogs, but they can track down anything, and bark in twelve languages.

I just wrote out a reasoned response. It took me five minutes.
Then I realized I had been whooshed.
I salute you, AskNott!

That dog appears to be a sheltie or sheltie mix.

I’m I the only one that sees two dog pictures!? One is a [Pug](http://www.dfwpugs.com/)
I agree with **peri** on the second. But it’s hard to tell if the hair is long enough, though.
Shelties look just like tiny collies.

They used to be called “mutts” or “crossbreeds” until people figured out that calling them something cutesy meant people would pay ridiculous amounts of money for them.
