We were driving to the Bay Area and were joking about baby/“bebbay” being the “other other white meat” a la Fat Bastard, but it got us wondering. Are people really white meat? Why is a cow red meat and a chicken or pig white? Iron count? I would really prefer to think of myself as red meat, I’d rather be a cow than a pig, anyway. So are we white or red when we’re on the grill? Disclaimer: I am not planning or endorsing the dining upon of people (or even the cooking of, although it would be such a waste to cook someone and then let them go to waste). ---

I’ve always been led to believe our meat is extremely similar to pork hence the name “long pork” being given to it by those who have had occasion to try the stuff. ---

:eek: I thought this website had to be a joke but if it is, they’ve been very thorough. Here are some highlights which just blow my mind. Is this real? It can’t be real. Should I be searching Snopes? "Because our products contain human meat we are unable to sell to just anyone. " **We also require membership because purchasing, consuming, and shipping human meat may be illegal in your area.** "However if you wish to dispose of any organic material purchased from ManBeef, check our disposal page. There you will find information about our free disposal service. Every product is shipped with a separate box folded up inside the main container. This box can be used to send, free of shipping charges, any meat, bone, or organic material you do not wish to keep. **This prevents the illegal disposal of human bones or flesh.** "Because of the sensitive nature of our product we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. We hold our customers in the highest regard, however, there are some select circumstances where we are legally unable to provide services. "If you have been convicted of illegal cannibalism (The killing and eating of a human) we will be unable to provide any services to you. We support the consumption of human flesh, but under no circumstances do we support the killing of a human to provide meat. “ **If the purchase of human meat or human meat products is illegal in your country, or state, we will be unable to provide services.** ” [How can it be legal? Uh, now I’m actually starting to feel like a prude] "If you place an order and are in violation with local laws you will be held solely responsible. “We assume no responsibility for your actions or for the use of any human meat product once it leaves our supervision. However, **we assume full responsibility for the quality of our meat.** ” They don’t say how much they charge. I guess I hope it’s a lot. I can’t stop thinking of _Hannibal_ now. I believe pork is also red meat.Chicken and fish are ‘white’,because of a lower cholesterol/unsaturated fat ratio.We’re obviously very red. ---

Haven’t tried it; but I hear the butt is the tastiest. If you looked up ‘meat’ in your dictionary, you would see it doesn’t really apply to people anyway: Websters: 2 : animal tissue considered especially as food: a : FLESH 2b b : FLESH 1a; specifically : flesh of domesticated animals ---
