Maybe those are the little flat triangle versions instead of the folded packets with pointy bits on top? I hadn’t had Crab Rangoon with hot pink sauce in some time, but this thread made me want them, so I ordered take-out last night. ---

I was literally picturing cream cheese wontons in soup. I admit, that didn’t sound very tasty. But crab ragoon? That stuff is good, and I don’t really see the point of the tiny bit of (fake?) crab they put in it. ---

I was recently reading Schott’s Food and Drink Miscellany where he describes the hierarchy of foodlovers as gastronome \> gourmet \> friand (epicure) \> gourmand \> Goulu (glutton) \> goinfre (greedy-guts)… One step lower than gourmand? Too harsh? ---
