I want a live theater showcase like they used to have in the 50s and 60s, where current Broadway and off-Broadway plays and musicals are featured in their entirety weekly. Whether this would involve filming an actual in-theater performance or having the cast perform specifically for the show, I don’t know. But we wantssss it… ---

I’d watch that. If they did it right. 10 to 1 they’d end up with “Buffy: The Mechanical Spider Slayer” though. A good female lesbian action hero series. (The 19 year female old sidekick should be ultra hot and reluctant to come out of the closet.) They’ve already got The Justice League, how about The Justice Society, set during WWII. ---

Every time I see one of these car shows where some motorhead is geeking out and talking about how many camshafts and horsepower and quadruple hemi blah blah blah, I really wish that there was a music gear show on TV with the same approach - show me an amazing new drum kit and tell me all about it - what the shells are made of, why the heads are the way they are, etc.- then show me that awesome new synthesizer and tell me how many oscillators it has, the cross-modulation capabilities. Then show me that awesome new guitar amp, and tell me all about how and why it has custom tubes in it, etc. etc. etc. In fact, I’d like to see more music shows, period. How about an hour-long documentary, “American Chopper”-style, set in a music studio instead of a garage? They could pick a really busy L.A. studio - one week, we’d see the young, impetuous band coming in to record their debut album, then the next, we’d follow the washed-up has-beens as they come to the studio to record their comeback record, so on, and so forth. I think it would be rad. ---

OK, so we’ve all seen MTV’s _Pimp My Ride_, yes? If you haven’t, here’s the deal: They find these 18-21 year old people with crappy cars (I mean CRAPPY.) The paitjob is horrible, things are falling off, the interior is also bad, usually no radio. Now, the car is then seized by some rapper who takes it to one of those celebrity car sustomization places. They then strip it down, and make it look shiney and new and load it with silly accesories like DVD players and several LCD monitors. The thing is, the usually do little or nothing to the engine. They give it a tuneup and an oil change, and that’s about it. SO it looks nice. but runs as crappy as ever. Now, take that concept, and apply it to…PC cases. Yes, PC cases. Someone has their old, crappy 500 MHz Pentium II with 64 MB on RAM running Win 95 all pimped out. The case is painted, crazy mods like lights and fans are added everywhere, theyput in a sweet water cooling system, stealth the drives, and all that stuff. but leave the actual hardware as crappy as before. The title? Pimp my PC! It could really only work on that video game channel…G4, I think it’s called. ---

I’d like to see Dancing Slavegirls of Mars made into a TV series. Sort of an updated version of John Carter of Mars (no offense to SDMB’s John Carter of Mars, whom I’m sure needs no updating) with lots of action, lots of unrepentant space fantasy (Mars has canals, a tropical climate and four-armed gorilla warriors who can be beaten up by humans) and most of all, lots of half-naked dancing slavegirls. And I don’t mean TV-sexy dnacing, I mean pole-slithering butt wagglers. Use the same tech as was used in Sky Captain and te world of tomorrow, but with a modern look (the sepia stuff gets old fast) and of course, one hell of a lot more half naked dancing slavegirls. Maybe you could have a guest hottie each week, Rose McGowan one week, Britney Spears the next, all playing half naked dnacing slavegirls who require the help of Our Hero on some knotty problem or other. ---
