AIUI, only a small fraction of the $61 billion is actually going to Ukraine in the form of arms support. Is it just going to be another repeat of the usual “155mm, Javelin, Stinger, de-mining vehicles, small arms” packages of which we saw dozens from 2022-2023, or is there anything notably new this time around? ---

When they say most of the money will go to restocking US supplies it doesn’t mean Ukraine wont get those arms. Its because they will be giving arms directly from US arsenals that will then need to be restocked using this cash. ---

Ukraine needs to resupply the basics first. Artillery rounds, tank shells, and ammunition. That’s urgently needed at the front. Missiles for Air defense is next. Then the more specialized weapons.
