# What Kinds of Info Does the SDMB Not Want You to Know?

From time to time, for reasons we don’t understand, when a topic transfers to another forum, it shows up there closed. It’s either a UBB bug, or we’re doing something wrong with the “move topic” screen, or something. It’s not intentional.
There are a couple of ways to fix this. First, email the moderator of the source forum or the destination forum. If you really think your OP was important enough to re-open, please let me or **Euty** know by email.
## The second way, and I highly recommend this, is _posting the OP in the right place to begin with_. For example, this should have been posted in the pit. So I’m gonna move it there. If it shows up closed, please email me or Lynn and we’ll get it reopened for you.
